Too many laws, that focus on more than just protecting our rights, and stablization of society. some of those laws are big income for big government.
certain folks want less government, but more laws, which isn't possible.
more bans=more laws=bigger government= more taxes

Because jail is the solution to everything in our country. People who use drugs and don't deal them shouldn't go to jail but be given alternatives. Other things just flat out shouldn't be a crime at all.

There are criminals everywhere. Our jails are full because, for the most part, we actually punish criminals here and lock them up.

Because America hasn't learned the lesson that all other modern countries have learned. If you ignore social problems and their consequences, for the sake of greed, and instead emphasize personal responsibility and punishment... you end up with a rocketing crime rate.
Americans would rather pay the money on the back end and get nothing for it, than pay it up front and get a healthier society with greater productivity and cooperation.

Because we have Liberal judges that set them free. If the prison system would make the scum work while doing time they wouldn't be so gun hoe on breaking the law. As it is, they lay up, watch T.V. eat, lift weights and play like rump rangers. Make em break rocks all day long.
