I live in Canada and I notice that people never go out without their water bottles, why?

Do NOT call me north american...I am CANADIAN.

I do not care if it's "north america". I am NOT american.

I love water because it's good for my body. It keeps me hydrated and it's MUCH better than pop which just makes the issue worse.

Water also helps keep my migraines away....

In the 1980s, a fitness craze started in the U.S. This made bottled water popular because a) it was perceived as more "pure" than tap water and b) experts endlessly said the average person needed 6-8 glasses of water daily. A certain cachet also attached to certain brands such as Evian.

We're healthy... or maybe it's because North Americans eat to much salty foods, which makes them thirsty. Or maybe we exercise more so we drink more water.

I always have a glass of water with me. I never noticed anything unusual about that in our country though. Is it wrong to want to stay hydrated?

I don't know. You can buy it anywhere, no need to drag it along. My mom walks around with hers all day and it drives me crazy. I usually have mine in my car, but don't go lugging it around everywhere. If we go shopping I am constantly holding her water for her so she can try on clothing etc. My mom even brings hers into my house with her even though I always have fresh cold bottles in the fridge. :)

I like to stay hydrated. It helps to lose weight, and makes you healthier.

Since I cut out soda and sugary juice I have lost 20 lbs.

Well no wonder people are healthier up north then the people down south. Did you know that TX has one of the fattest cities in the U.S.? It's true.

We get thirsty and dehydrated and it's healthy and cheap and in Northern Michigan Fuji and Evian get you pregnant...weird at least that's the rumor.
