Well I really don't you should be asking for one yet but if you are heres how to do it.
First of all you need to let him know that you are aware that you are asking for a raise quite soon, but assure him it's for an excpetional reason.
Detail to your boss how you have strived to learn and achieved more in your short term their then other employees who have been their longer. Give him a sense that you believe that raises are based on merit rather then just being at the workplace for a certain amount of time.
After you have showed why you are an amazing employee explain why a raise would be beneficial for him. Explain you work well at performance based jobs and that a raise now would demonstrate how your current job fufills your performance based needs, and that this will cause you to strive even harder for future succeses.
Anyways their my two cents, since I don't know you age, job , or past experience thats the best I can give.

A month is a little soon. As much as you may know you are doing well, you have to show that you can do well over a period of time. Start keeping track of things you do, and the improvements that you make. At your 3 month mark, ask him if the two of you can review your performance, then while in that meeting, ask him what the company policy is on raises.

I would ask him if you could meet with him for a few minutes. If he agrees (and you are sure you are doing well) ask him what he thinks of your performance up to this point and give him a chance to say out load that you are a great worker. Then bring up that you also enjoy working for him and based on your performance feel like you should get a raise. Always ask for a little more than you want so you have negotiating room. Good LUCK!

Take off your shirt, then ask. I'm kidding. It is so hard asking your boss for a raise. I did it once without preperation...I just sat down in his office and talked to him. Well I guess I did everything right because he gave it to me. I don't even remember what I said to him.
Good Luck!

a month is a little too early to ask for a raise, they usually give you a raise after a year, NOT a month, no matter how much you know!

i dont think you have been there long enough. i would give it another 2 months and ask for a performance review. before the review make sure you know all your duties and give him reasons as to why you think you deserve a raise and how much you area asking for
good luck

Prepare yourself for this question," why do you think you should get a raise?" Once you are prepared to answer that question, wait about 11 more months, so he/she has more time to review your commitment to the job.

Be honest with him. Ask to meet with him privately and then explain to him why you believe you should be paid more.
