The values conservatives teach their children are to support and protect their country, respect their country's Flag, obey the laws, be loyal to their country, to not kill unborn babies, conserve energy by turning off the lights when not in use, learning to live within their budget. These are but a few of their values.
Just like many claim to be Christians but are not, many claim to be Conservatives. This is why it is so important to not read and believe the twisted words that most politicians list about themselves, but rather look at their past track record - their votes, speeches, who is funding them and who they have contributed to, organizational involvements, etc.
So tell me, is there an honest Presidential Candidate?

Well, because many things are actually the fault of people taking actions to make those things happen, and the individual is the one who suffers from the consequences of said action.
Personal responsibility only works for things you have control over.
Perhaps you should also listen to the liberal fools who go about blaming gun crimes on the NRA?

It's not about blame. It's about alerting people. That's part of self-responsibility. We're warning you not to buy into the class warfare and victimology promoted by the liberals, ACLU, etc.
Don't fall for the line that they are there to help you. Help your own self! The only thing the liberals will help you do is to promote dependence and mediocrity.
To theQboi86, you make me laugh. Which group is blaming Bush and the GOP for Iraq, despite their almost complete support (with recorded votes to prove it) for getting us into Iraq.

When is our President going to admit it is HIS fault for most of the mess the U.S is in?
LASSEZ-FAIRE GUY-Would Bush take most of the responsibility for Iraq since he lied about the "weapons of mass destruction"? I think most of Congress was fooled into voting for the war because of that false report.

It's human nature to deflect blame than to accept responsibility, at least not openly.

Where's the admittance of responsibility from the organizations that you mentioned, there is none, you can't expect one side of the debate to change if the other side isn't willing too either.

That's a good question for a liberal. If self responsibility is so important to you why so many social programs that turn people into dependents?

I agree with you on the fact that it seems like most people these days don't have any accountability anymore. Its all in how a person was raised.

Conservatives show more of that than liberals. It is the liberal mindset that usually points finger and fosters the entitlement mentality that makes welfare more important than anything else.
