when a female gets physically aroused her vagina expands and the cervix raises, making it longer/deeper in order to receive a penis. This action alone is enough to draw air inside the vagina, you don't even have to insert anything, and when you're done masturbating your vagina slowly goes back to it's pre-aroused state and as it does this it slowly pushes the air back out, which makes the popping sensation you've described.
or it could just be muscle spasms left over from your orgasm, I guess it depends on what you mean by popping. I assume you mean like air bubbles popping, and not muscle twitching?

If you use fingers or objects to penetrate your vagina, you will also let in small amounts of air. Later (sometimes right away, or sometimes hours later) the air will come back out. If the air bubbles are small, they will make a popping sound as they leak out. If the bubbles are bigger, it will sound almost exactly like passing gas. Where I grew up, we called those sounds "pussy farts"... I never have heard a proper medical name for the phenomenon...

It is a throbbing that occurs after you climax and your body can sometimes twice and your muscles contract and relax. You can also feel it after you finish having sex it is just the movement of your muscles.
