Everybody has a right to a private life, even if they are famous. Being famous is something that usually comes with the job they do, and a job is just a little part of your life. Everybody needs to be able to relax without being haunted by the press all the time.

Yes i do think they entitled toa private life but they know what being famous entitled them to for the good stuff and they should accept the other with a certain amount of good grace, as they did whatever they could to get the attention in the first place. Then when they get up there they moan about it. but saying that i think they should have areas of their private life that the public and press should respect as private, if you know what i mean.

Sure they do!!!! Why not? Allthough I do feel they people in the public eye do have an obligation due to what their job entails to get out and see the people, I mean the fans, who without them(us) wouldn't be in such a position to be considered famous. I think it's the least they can do.
What I mean by this is they ought to do all the interviews and public appearences they have scheduled. My god if I had sooooo many fans that put me in a position t make an insaine amount of money I would surely feel an obligation to do these things not because it was my job but out of pure appreciation!!!

Of course, just because they want to entertain people whether it is by singing, being comedians, writing books or acting doesn't mean they shouldn't have a private life. Then of course there are the people that don't choose it the royal family, and anyone that falls in love with them.

Yes, but they should also accept because they have chosen to be in a profession that has made them famous they're going to get some interest into their private lives.

They already do have a private life. Just because Paris, Lindsay and Britney like to have the world know about every detail of their lives doesn't mean that other famous people don't have private lives. I can name plenty of them who do a very good job of keeping their business to themselves.

Yes, with some restrictions. It's different if everyone knows who you are. Just like if you're the star quarterback and you go to the mall the day before the big game, no one is going to give you any space. But they should be able to go to lunch without interruption - that has to be maddening. I imagine the constant pressure is what drives a lot to drugs. But people flying over your house taking pictures of you should be thrown in jail. Speaking of jail, that's public record. Everyone else's name goes in the paper for stuff, so should a celeb's.

Like everyone else, they have the right to a private life. The press should be forced to stay away from their homes and their children. Many celebrities want to lead quiet lives when not working and should be allowed to do so.

However, when they are drunk or using drugs (Lohan, Spears, Hilton, Baldwin, etc.) in public, they deserve to be exposed.

i think they should have that right, but when they go and do stupid things then they ruin that opportunity, they do have to be cautious of what they do because someone is always watching, they know it when they get in the biz, so i dont feel they can complain about it when out in public... i do feel sorry for them and wouldnt want that kind of attention, but i do feel at least in the privacy of their own home/property they should have it. if they want "romantic partners/drinking/drugs/ect." to be private then the only way to ensure that is by having it all at their own home.... like i said before ... someone is always watching and there isnt anything really that can be done about it... unfortunately... and they know it all in advance

Yes. Being a "celebrity" is their job, why should they have to be harassed 24/7?

Imagine if your work was constantly phoning you, or they expected you to be available constantly... No days off, no weekends, no private time with your family/friends. Not a pleasant thought, is it?
