I have to agree with The Cable Guy on this one.
Somebody kill the babysitter. Its so sad that parents leave their kids sitting in front of the TV and the PC so they are not bothered for a while. Those "whiles" too often turn into hours and hours of unrestricted brainwashing.

Wow, if anyone knows of any blocking program that really works 100% of the time - by all means share, because I have yet to hear of any program that can actually do that.
Yes, there are other responsible things a parent can do - put the computer in a public room where everyone can see, limmit internet time, and of course number one is talk to your kids about pornography and your family standards.
But I know if a kid really wants to see it, the internet is the easiest way, and there are plenty of ways to get around filters or simply use other computers.

It's the parents' fault for failing to "log off" their porn site after they were finished. LOL
Joking aside, it's the stigma and taboo we place on sex in general that makes children very curious about porn; there are some children who are very clever and are far more tech-savvy than their parents; they can find ways to get around filters. The best option would be for parents to sit down and actually talk about sex with their kids.

I definitely blame the parents. You can block everything you want if you make the effort. If it is about the safety and well being of your children no effort should be spared. If you are simply too lazy or don't like the inconvenience of dealing with separate users accounts and put that before the well being of your kids, you are not fit to be a parent.
But maybe that is the whole problem.Too many people having kids while they are not fit to be parents

Why are we so naive to children having a sexuality and being curious about sexuality and behaviors? Eventually children will see pornography one way or another. When I was a kid I saw porn at a house down the street. Strangely enough it was spilling out of their garbage can when they were in the form of magazines. My mind when I was little was quite curious and I always felt so perplexed as to why it was such a neurotically hidden thing. You can only protect your kids from the inevitable. Finding out that they are human.

There are programs available that will filter porn out. I use it in this computer so that I don't have to worry about my kids getting into porn sites by accident.
I blame the parents.

It is bill Clinton's fault. His children's Internet protection act requiring filters on ALL public comp. (in school or not) is a failure. Not only do these filters block porn but they also block ANY site that mentions alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives. Preventing students from doing research, reading the news, applying for law enforcement careers, etc. etc. Forcing the librarians to turn the filter down or off thus allowing porn.
Viewing porn at home is a discussion you and your child need to have. Although i would think letting your child view porn is bad parenting

The parents. It's called a block.
But those random porn sites that pop up are also a problem cause my spam blocker doesn't work on them.

The parents, there are blocking programs that as a parent, you should install on your child's computer.
