If you copy a music CD onto a blank CD is it an exact replica?

How do you know if the have copied in CD digital quality? Is there a certain number of kbps?

It can be. It depends on your hardware and software. I have copied music CD's that are perfect and I have also copied music cd's that have errors in them.

are you copying or ripping? Copying is making an exact duplicate of the CD. if you are ripping most people say you need to encode to at least 256kbs to get close to CD quality. However it will NOT be an exact copy.

In addition to what GKK said I've copied cd's and the playback between songs was off. Instead of being seamless there was a second or two delay. The music should still be the same quality though.
