Some people have to be different, y'know? It hasn't anything to do with being right or wrong, or what makes sense, it just has to be different from what the majority believe. Then it takes someone to provide them with an idea (they are born unable to produce one themselves). That makes them the natural prey of con men. Look at all these fellows who started their own religions. Both the flat earth and the hollow earth people are still around, and probably always will be. They go nicely with the Nazi's made the Flying Saucers people, the Aliens Read My Email people, the Brittney Spears is a Time Traveller people and of course, the Moon Landing was a Fake people, and the My Cat can Read My Thoughts people. Hoist your glasses to them. If they were not around, who would we have to feel superior to? Just each other? How boring!

Nobody can answer a question about another s beliefs because you aren t in their mind and have zero knowledge of it. But if you carefully listen to at least some of the flat earthers you will understand that some don t just believe, they know. They know from science. Listen to some on YouTube; they have very scientific reasons why the Earth must be flat. NASA photos or graphics are not science, they are just images. What s the real irrefutable proof the Earth is a sphere? A lens might be fish-eye lens, where s the proof it is not being used? On the other hand, how can ships seem to disappear over the "curve" of the Earth when far out at sea, then come back into full view by using a telescopic lens? How can the Earth rotate and revolve around the Sun for six months and keep the same time of day six months later? Many concepts like this are impossible to explain in the global view. The flat earth concept is a very serious one and no real scientist can simply debunk it with NASA pictures or "news" stories. Science and math must be involved and must be observable and repeatable.

The "satellites" are just really high tech, powerful, stations that relay information via land towers.

Who am I kidding, the earth is round.

On the other hand, if ships "fell" off the end of the earth, how did they climb back up?

I think the first clue about the earth being round was when NASA started photographing the earth from space, from satellites, the Mercury missions, Apollo missions, Saturn missions, the space shuttle, the moon, etc...

Because "belief" is not based on evidence, fact or experiment, it is based on "faith" - that means the taking leave of one's senses and casting all logic and reason aside. When you do this you end up believing anything someone tells you. For example that evolution is wrong.
