Only if the older woman is messing around and falling in love with a younger man that happens to be married. If that is not the case; then some people may look down upon it still but it really shouldn't matter to the couple that is in love.

No. If it's okay for men, then why can't women do it. I get tired of the double standard. My husband is 7.5 years younger than me, it's not the age difference that is the problem. If a couple takes plenty of time to date and get to know each other and they find they are compatable, then the only thing they need to consider is the age factor down the line. The reason being, once a person hits 50 years old (in general), their health starts to decline. For every year after that, it's as tho they age faster than they did when they were younger. Sexual drive may change because of hormonal changes or because of health issues. If a couple are okay with what may come when they age, then I don't see a problem.

I think the concept is looked down on mostly because men feel threatened if a woman in their age group pairs up with a younger man. The whole idea threatens their masculinity. As far as other women looking down on it. The women are probably just jealous. The older ones because a peer grabbed a young stud and the younger ones because a guy from their age group would rather have an older women than them.

No, it's not a case of "must" but depending on the ages of the parties involved, it can be really hard to understand sometimes...say for example the older person is middle-aged or older, and the younger one is barely legal. Tough to buy that such a relationship is actually based on love...the maturity levels of those people should be vastly different, which causes others to question why the older person would desire someone so much less mature than they (or wonder if the older person is really quite immature themselves).

Who the hell cares about those who always look down, because they do not have to do something at their own and do not know to look upon.. Love is love .. it is personal matter.. let the others mind their own business . Those who look down like this, be sure, right inside they look down the same way for their own abilities and deeds... so how can you expect something different when they cannot do any thing better than that ?

I would hope they wouldn't, everyday I see fine looking women out there, a good few years older than me and boy, I would give them a second look over some younger ladies.
Blokes get away with it, women don't, it's very unfair.
Its like the whole she's a sl*t and he's a stud debate. The inequality sucks.

No, of course not. I'm in the opposite situation, married to a man 20 years older. Unfortunately, if he is significantly younger than be prepared for random individuals to make unnecessary commets and give you their opinions. People can be ignorant and make assumptions. This happens to me all of the time. Just trust that you have made the right decision in continuing to be with the one you love instead of pandering to other people's ideas of who you should love.

Probably -- as it is, societal standards dictate that if a woman falls in love with a younger guy, she's probably just fooling around (not in a serious relationship).
But who really cares if she's looked down upon so long as she's truly in love?

there is no end to fall in love with a younger guy... because the nature of women body is totally different, they get old in age of 50 so the young guy has to find a new one...it hurts!
