I had negative results until I was already 7 weeks pregnant. Sometimes women just don't have enough of the pregnancy hormone in their system for a test to pick up on until a little bit later in pregnancy.

I had a negative test before and then a positive. I then realised that id taken the test too long before my next period was due and that was why it was so inaccurate. The second test was taken 2 days into when my period shouldve been due and it immediately came up positive. So u might have taken the test a bit too early and the test stick hadnt detected the pregnancy hormone.

I had negative pregnancy test from home to the doctors tell I was 3mnths along then it came out positive but know one knew for three months not even the doctors because it is all read by your hormone levels and if there not high enough the test will not read correctly.

Yes, it happens a lot during the early part of a pregnancy.
The important thing to remember is that there is no such thing as a false positive when it comes to pregnancy tests because it detects a hormone that your body ONLY produces while you're pregnant.

this is quite common - you can have either a false negative or a false positive result. that is why you will note there is always a disclaimer on the box advising to follow up with your doctor. any time you suspect that you are pregnant and receive a negative - i would strongly advise you to wait a few days and take another at home test - then follow up with the doctor. the at home tests these days are quite sophisticated - but they still are not as accurate as the doctor's office tests.

Yes. I was over 2 months pregnant with my son when the urine test came back negative...I was in the process of reenlisting into the military, too! Then a month later I went in and had the blood test done. Sure enough...

I took a test on July 5th that came out negative and then took one on July 6th and it was positive. Some tests are more sensative than others and it also depends on how much hormone is in your body.

Yes I took the dollar store brand the day I was suppose to get my period and got a neg, then the next morning got 3 positives with first response

Yes I have. I took the test to early (the day of my missed period) and it was a dollar store one. I knew I was pregnant, so I went out and bought a better one the next day. That one came up sooo positive so fast.

yes that happens to women all the time. You're body is always making more hormones while pregnant, and when it finally makes enough it causes a positive test result.
