Would you like to have Hollywood values run the country?
The Hollywood crowd is giving millions of dollars to the democratic party for a reason.
Would you like Rosie O'Donnell as Secretary of State? (I know this is over the top but I couldn't resist)

Sorry lockstep grandma, in spite of what you said I didn't vote for Governor Reagan. I voted for John Anderson! I did vote for President Reagan four years later with his Midwest values.

Hollywood is driven by a bunch of professional fakers, drug addicts, and folks without any sense of right or wrong. They work hard to tear down the traditional strengths and morals that united and strengthened our nation.

John Wayne fought the Communist takeover of Hollywood as far back as the 1940s and observed that it has been completely overwhelmed by Communist control by 1960. Their revenge against Wayne was "Brokebutt Mountain".

No chance would I have Communists run this country (as they increasingly are).

How about Patricia Heaton for Secretary of State?
Or Charlton Heston, Health, Education and Welfare?
Or Fred Thompson for President?

Oh. Sorry, I got a bit carried away. This is hypothetical right?

And you had no problem with Hollywood when you voted for Reagan. So, as usual its not Hollywood 'values' its your values and thats pretty much business as usual for the lockstep crowd.

What do you mean by Hollywood values? Fred Thompson? Arnold Schwarzenegger? Ronald Reagan? All of them are steeped in Hollywood values. It's funny how conservatives only complain about actors and other creative types from Hollywood getting involved in politics when they are Democrats, but never about Republican actors.

Isn't it a little disingenuous to use the term "Hollywood values"? I mean, Hollywood reflects many different values in its films, values ranging from extreme right to extreme left.

For example, it bothers me that Hollywood films seem to value:

* Guns and violence as the answer to everything.
* Vigilantism.
* Exploitation of women (and misogyny in general).
* Mindless U.S. "patriotism" (why is it that Americans always have to be the "heroes," even if it means changing history to do it--check out the real history of "U-571").

The truth is, Hollywood filmmakers are capitalists--they will put out whatever sells. You need to take a rational look at your own question, and stop letting conservative pundits frame your opinions for you.

Hollywood values? You mean driving on suspended licenses? Driving drunk? Shooting people in your house late at night while partying? Abusing your kids? Leaving abusive messages on answering machines? Being drunk on camera while trying to eat fast food? Going to rehab and getting a DUI within a week of getting out? Driving with infants on your lap? Using $5000 dresses to whipe of your greasy fingers after eating chicken? Are these the Hollywood values you're talking about?

Hollywood values of what Lindsay Lohan or a Brittney Spears - great examples for our children.
Hollywood values of a Rosie or Charlie Sheen who with all the evidence out there cling to wild eyed conspiracy theories on 9-11.
Hollywood values on a Bill Mahrer or Alec Baldwin who think it is right to advocate the murder of Republican leaders on television.
Yeah Hollywood values really are something that we need more of!!! This is what we have to fight just as much as terrorism in the long run. The decline of our values.

How much money is there in Hollywood? How many social and health issues could they fund without involving our hard earned tax dollars? Why do they feel that it is their civic duty to influence world opinion and American politics with their cash and celebrity power? Can't they spearhead their energies for things like The Shriners' Hospital for children or privately funding Stem cell research? Do we need the Government and all the regulations that come with it to get things done? I really think all their input makes for more Republicans. Thanks Rosie.

Sean Penn, Rosie, Alex Baldwin, The Sheen's. Yea I want idiots like that running our country. They can't even manage to run their live with every advantage, what makes me think they can run a country and have to do some critical thinking. They are just elite windbags that want media attention.

No, I'm not fond of their "values." I get my values from my friends and family, not from Hollywood or God forbid, Washington. Seems to me like our movie stars and leaders are both found of sanctimonious hypocrisy, adultery, drugs, serial marriages and driving drunk into hedges.

As for your second question, no. I find her annoying and smug.

I like my own values.
As a centrist Democrat, I embrace some liberal and some conservative values.
Do you like Wall Street Values, the "anything to make a buck crowd"?
Oh, thats right, that's what we have now.
