I was in the midst of a layoff. The company closed
all offices except the home office. I got a low wage job for $3.50 an hour. Finally got a steady
job in September. Stayed with them until I retired in 1996.

I turned 18 that year and graduated from high school.
Then went on a 2 month road tour of Texas and New Mexico, pretty much living out of a yellow Dodge Prospector.

Went to Europe and was expecting first child. I never left the country (USA) again and that child will now be a freshman in college and getting his first truck. Time sure does fly.

Yes, I was 8 and my family moved us to Los Angeles from Fresno. The fashion was really horrible, and the music too. That's what I really remember about 88.

Wow. You must have been really rich to get both in one year. Son's are great aren't they? I have two of them myslef and would highly recommend them to those contemplating parenthood. And from seeing the gals these days I am glad I don't have the worries their parents have.
