Satin is woven usually from man made fiber.
Silk comes from silk worms.

silk is a fibre which is spun by the silk worm
satin refers to the weave of a fabric made from any fibre which usually has a lot of lustre such as rayon, nylon, or even silk. it has a yarn structure of 4 up 1 down, which gives it its lustrous appearence
