I am flying to Amsterdam in August and plan to stay in one of the CentreParcs in Holland - I have another 5 days to sort out what/where should I visit?

Go Scheveningen. Stay at Ibis hotel average 100euros per night...or if you feel rich, stay at Kurhus hotel. You can easily catch a tram to Den Haag for its shoppings or walk down to the beach boulevard n soak in the sun (if there's any) .. also a train ride to Rotterdam, Amsterdam.
Check out another city by tram - Delft.

Contact the nearest VVV, that's the Dutch Tourist Information organisation, the website is www.vvv.nl, and you'll find one that concentrates on the region where you are staying. They provide pretty detailed information and quite a lot of them are in English.

Nice cities: Utrecht and Groningen. Watersports: Friesland.

I lived in NL for 6 years, in Groningen, so I'm a bit biased ... but the night life there is good. Quiet during August, but good.

If you have only 5 days left to sort it out, check their website what is available.
From what I hear from people going to this kind of parks all are good. (I have never been there myself, so I can not give you firsthand info.)

They are popular and it is high season.
Here is a link to their Dutch site, I think you can work out how it works:
http://www.centerparcs.nl/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=WebRes/Dispatchers/req01

There might be a site for booking from your country too, but I could not find an English language site for the Dutch parks.
