A lot of people get irregular periods. That's what you have. There's nothing wrong with that, it's healthy, but the only problem may be is that it causes you to worry when you'll get the next one.

When you're older, maybe about 18, you can ask your doctor for a birthcontol pill. The pill will regulate your cycle, and make your period come every month, on a regular time, where you can predict it's arrival.

There are, however, side effects to taking the pill, as there are in taking any medication. You should not take it for a prolonged period of time. When the time comes, talk to your doctor abou this.

It is quite common for periods to be irregular at the on start. It is just the bodies hormones adjusting. Other factors which can cause problems is being under weight and stress. Ironically, often worrying about it can cause delays in periods. Assuming you are not sexually active, the reason is usually very simple.
If you want genuine reassurance seek advice from your GP. They can see you without your parents knowledge if this concerns you. Or maybe there is a professional at your school you can seek advice from.
Don't listen to heresay, if you want knowledge seek it from a reliable source. Unfortunately there are many taboos still attached to menstruation.
Good luck

A period is VERY irregular when it first starts. DON'T worry. You will get it again. it just takes awhile to straighten out. There is nothing wrong with you. I'd say that If you don't get it in another 6months-1year, then you can start worrying.
