Allusion is like a reference to the past and something well known ex; person, place, event, literary work, or work of art.

The answer to your question is D because it mentions Redeth Ecclesiaste of Flaterye and the war.

(B). The line alludes to the profoundly elegiac character of life. The line is taken from 'The Wanderer', an old English poem (an elegy) from the 10th century.
