not so much their spelling its their attitudes that they have that scares me for our future..

Absolutely not. This is not some huge government sight, it is YA. Some people misspell on purpose for several reasons, the number one reason is that it annoys so many people. did you notice the misspellings only worse in the last 3 months? it's because it bothers people, so do it.
another reason is when some one is trying to make a point, they toss in a misspelled word or two to see if you actually mention the spelling error or if you stick to the point.
I've herd a few other reasons as well.

My Husband is a Doctor at the Buffalo Gen. Hos. and do you know it is amazing if that man spells a complete sentence correctly, however he's smart, he's good at what he does, and people love him. I asked him why he does that, he said when in School every one kept saying "good grades" so spelling wasn't so important. I've herd other talk about similar stories.
and people dont use spell check for 1. they misspell on purpose. 2. it takes longer when using it. 3. if dont offer it when posting a question. 4. some times it really dont want to work.

Morrtafried! Stamps are currently 41 cents each. With these kids running the country in 15 years, stamps will be $41 each – a typo they will justify some how.

yes a little, I may use bad grammar and spelling here but helI am 30 so I can!
text messaging will be the down fall of all

NOT WORRIED ABOUT SPELLING AND GRAMMAR. IT'S THE KIDS LACK OF COMPREHENSION IS WHAT I'M WORRIED.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF SOFTWARE YOU CAN USE TO CORRECT SPELLING AND GRAMMER. BUT YOU CAN'T LET A COMPUTER CORRECT STUPIDITY.

absolutely!! I am appalled at the way our kids have butchered the English language....and let me tell you...it will get a LOT worse....as long as they have text messaging and such...they will NEVER learn the value of proper grammar and spelling...shakespear and siggy are rolling in their graves.....hahaha

I don't know some of the older people on here have worse grammer than some of us younger ones.

i'm 15 and i'm usually very good with grammar & spelling.
