for our wedding i was the first dance to be romantic but sexy. not just a slow dance. i want to do either the tango, salsa, foxtrot, paso doble or any others of that kind. Whats the difference in those dances? which one is the most romantic and sexy? Do you think that a dance studio would teach us an exact dance I loved on dancing with the stars?

thanks!

I am prejudiced but I think Argentine, not American, Tango is the sexiest dance a couple can do for their first wedding dance. If you find a teacher that specializes in it they will be able to teach you what you need to know to pull it off in a short amount of time. Try a Google search of your city name and Argentine Tango to find associated groups in your area for teacher referrals.

But be forewarned every couple I know that learned it for their wedding are dancing it still!

I personally wouldn't recommend memorizing a "routine" whatever the dance, for your wedding, I think it always puts undue stress on what should be a stress free day.

i don't recommend paso doble for weddings
tango would be really great as opening dance then you can continue with salsa and your wedding can turn into a great party
foxtrot would be a bit old for you young couple :)

tango means passion and it is *very* sexy especially with the loved one
salsa is energitic, and sexy
you can also dance bachata; it is a simple dance (3 steps, one hip) and that's very sexy and you need to be very close to your partner

Oh how romantic!
I think there is a dance studio out there that would be happy to give enough private lessons to learn a special dance . Be prepared ---they may cost a little !
You might want to keep in mind the kind of apparel you will be wearing . ,You wouldn't want to get your feet tangled up in a long dress or perhaps expose too much --with a too short skirt.
Consider an ethnic type dance ( any Greek or Dutch etc. in your families !!!!

I think you should surprise everyone by starting with a slow dance and the all of a sudden lead into a really sexy tango.

Unless at least one of you has a few years' experience in ballroom, it's doubtful you could copy a DWTS choreography well. I'd recommend a waltz or foxtrot with choreography suited specifically to the two of you. They'll have the feeling you're looking for. Waltz is not only traditional, it also will be the easiest to get the right emotions and also easier than foxtrot to do well in the limited time available to you.

It's your first dance. Why would you want to do a dance that moves are dictated by someone else?
You might want to talk to your mate about this one.
It's symbolic so it should be something for you two.
It's the first thing you do as a couple.Do it together and for each other.
Congratulations and my best to both of you.
