I woke up at the beach one morning while on a family vacation and my brother in law was watching my husband and I sleeping. It was one of the strangest moments of my life.
This was 25 years ago. Nothing like that has ever happened again, but it was creepy.

Tim Henson likes to watch me sleeping. I know this because when I wake up the next morning, my window is licked clean everytime.

yes, if you're in enrolled in a sleep study. yes, if you are being monitored (corporate or NSA) using one of those devices that can be in your home that you don't know about and I will fail to explain completely. yes, if you sleep on benches in parks or otherwise out in the open like in school, at work, in your vehicle. yes, if you have a strange living environment and even stranger family or roommates.
but generally speaking, no.

How would I know if I'm sleeping.
I'm sure it has happened in my life. Sometimes my son falls asleep when he is watching TV with me and I just stare at him. He just looks so innocent and peaceful, I can't help it.

Of course not. Gorgons are not people. They're more like plants. But when they are babying me in bed, I ask them to transform the snakes back to normal green, blue, or silver hair.
