His OBP will go down. On base percentage is calculated by adding hits, walks, and times hit by a pitch, and dividing that sum by plate apperances.

If you reach base by an error or fielder's choice, you don't count it as a time reaching base for the purpose of OBP because you didn't get there by a hit, walk, or being hit by a pitch. But it would count as a plate appearance. So the OBP goes down.

OBP goes DOWN (unless it's already .000). Don't let the "on base" part fool you. You may be ON BASE when you reach on an error, but you don't DESERVE to be on base.

Here’s how you calculate an on-base percentage:

(Hits + Walks + Hit by Pitch) /
(At Bats + Walks + Hit by Pitch + Sacrifice Flies)

OBP goes down, as it should, because the batter reached base thanks to the defense's flub and not his own efforts.

Witness the OBP equation:

OBP == (H + BB + HBP) / (AB + BB + HBP + SF)

Since reaching on error counts as zero hits in one at-bat, the OBP would go down a bit.

It would go up. OBP is the percentage of how many at bats youve had and how many times youve been on base. You could have a .001 batting average and have a .755 obp it just matters how often you get on

His on base percentage goes up. With the OBP, it doesn't matter how you get on base, whether it's by hit, walk, hit by pitch, intentional walk, error, doesn't matter. If you get on, your OBP goes up. That's why you have guys who may have a .250 batting average, but a .375 OBP, especially with lead off hitters. Sometimes being a good lead off batter doesn't mean being the best hitter on the team. Sometimes, your lead off man might lead the team and/or league in walks. It's just about getting on base.

it goes up beacause OBP means On Base Percentage, and since he got on base it raises

OBP would go up becasue he got on base for the obp it does not matter how you get on base as long as you make it on base

Sure it counts - if it is an 0 for 1 on the hit column then it negatively affects his OBP, they don't count that it was an error when they figure OBP. They simply look at his hits/at bats with men on base.

His on base percentage increases because he reached a base even though by error.
