My husband and I went off season in the late winter (march). So, if you haven't been there in the winter it's absolutely breathtaking.. ! I'm a photographer and since it's cold a mist comes off the falls and freezes on everything it's awesome ! Trees look like crystal and when the sun hits it they sparkle.. Lamps, the metal barrier fence everything has a 3 inch coat of solid ice on it and it's clear...Very beautiful... Since it's cold many hotels offer really great discounts we stayed at the Holiday Inn by the falls and got 2 breakfast in the hotel restaurant as well as 2 dinners in the Skylon revolving restaurant.. Which is high above the falls and at night the falls have a light display that's really pretty... Also, it's a nice time to go to the butterfly conservatory it's cold outside, but really nice and tropical, where they keep the butterflies.. . Even if you don't like the cold, I would have to say it's the best time to see the falls... Good luck and have fun..

We went on 7/21 and it was amazing. We stayed at a day inn, but if you can afford something better go for it. The Fallsview Casino was beautiful and there was a club - Dragonfly that was niiiice. In the same casino we ate at Canyon Creek Chop House - good steak and they had sweet potatoe fries too. If you make rsvp you can get a table by the falls.

Niagara Eye - i think that is the name - similar to the London Eye is a good way to see everything around that area.
WWE has a free fall.
Go to Skylon Tower observation deck, if you are not able to do the Eye.

I would reccommend the Mariott by the Falls. I have been there 14 years and I know everything there is to know about dining and entertainment. Clifton Hill is the best. We always stay at Quality Inn Clifton Hill and I think it is pretty great even though they are taking it down in 3 to 4 years to make an amusement park and water park. You are talking about the Canadian side right? Summertime definetly. Mama Mia's, Planet Hollywood, Kelsey's, Ruby Tuesday's, Hard Rock Cafe.
