Yes your are right under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 you have to wait for more then one month to actually getting married. If both of you are Hindu by religion, 18years woman & 21 years man, then contact the Arya Samaj Mandir of your area & in presence of at least two Adult witnesses get married & take the Marriage Certificate from them, with help of this marriage certificate & the two witnesses get this marriage registered under section 8 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 by the Marriage Registrar who his the Tehsildar of the district where you got married. The best witnesses for such marriage is the parents of the parties or the blood relations as both Arya Samaj & marriage registrar may insist for it, but if they are not available for any reasons then next best witnesses for this purpose are the Gazetted Officer known to you who can identify & attest even your evidence/proof of age as well of the residence of both of you. In case you are in Delhi then you actually require one witness for the registration of this marriage & it has to be a Gazetted Officer only & proof of address has to be ration card. Arrange these documents & person I have mentioned here & get married & register this marriage within 2 days itself. This marriage is absolutely valid for all purposes & no one can challenge it.

Fly to Vegas!!! That's what my husband and I did, because we didn't want to wait :)

In Vegas you go to the courthouse with no appointment and 10 minutes later you're getting married in the chapel. There are a lot of companies that pick you up with a limo at the hotel, then take you to the courthouse, then to the chapel and in 30 minutes you're married!

Then you can go and party in Vegas, we did that the 2nd day and we had a ton of fun!

You can marry her under Court of Civil law ( Registered marriage ), assuming you live in a country not bound by Islamic law only such as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Your biggest obstacle will be both of your family members that are old fashion Faith believers. Above all love and protect your wife ans your queen.

"Special?"

Special is in heart of the beholder. In some states it takes 24 hours. I was married in California on the spot.

Marriage takes one day..Blood work and a Judge. That's all, for real. If you go to Reno, Lake Tahoe etc. you will not even need the blood work!
