On paper I'd have to say the Patriots. Remember they were only 1 drive away from going to the Super Bowl instead of the Colts. The Pats only got better in the offseason: they upgraded their receiving corps by adding Moss, Welker and Stallworth and upgraded their defense by adding Adalius Thomas.
The Colts did not make any moves to keep competitive, in fact they lost key personnel on an already shaky defense and lost Dominic Rhodes leaving them without a quality RB to back-up Joseph Addai.

The Patriots is better, because they have a passing games that they didn't have last year by signing Moss and others guys too. Patriots are made for championship run, and they'll get there. Plus the Patriots is better defensively anyway. I'm not a Pats fan, I'm a realist about both of these team.

I hate it because I'm a BIG Colts fan but I think THIS year that Pats will be better. The Pats have gotten better in the offseason while the Colts have lost a lot of talent, including a pro-bowl offensive lineman retiring this week.
Of course when you have number 18 anything is possible!

Patriots this yr, payton lost his 3rd receiver and that def lost some key players. Their DB's gonna get toasted the gave brady a fast receiver include that with his accuracy and they like throwing deep. Colts lost their best safety and their def is ???? they cant barely stop the run. So i dont know its gonna be hard for them.

now, it would be patriots. cause remember, colts lost many of their impact players on deffese. they still have a great offense, but then patriots, have a good deffense. but colts dont have a good deffense anymore, with so many losses in off season. so i would say patriots r better....

I think unless your from one of those areas, you don't really give a crap about either one of them. But I'm from out west and I'd say as of recently the Colts are the better team. But in the grand scheme of things the Patriots are a dynasty.

Has anyone seen a pattern i mean Tom brady was like troy aikman not many yards or anything but the wins and # super bowls While Peyton Manning is like bRett Favre throws 4000 yards 35 tds loses then finally gets past them and wins the super bowl
