There are plenty to choose from; Diebold stole the election. The war is 'ILLEGAL'. I make $10 an hour and Bush's tax cuts didn't help me (psst....you don't pay federal income taxes so naturally you would not benefit from a reduction in federal income tax rates).

My favorite is "Our founders were LIBERALS". Ya Right. Can you imagine;

Jefferson: First of all we need to raise taxes then we need to let the gays marry!

Madison: Yes we need to provide all kinds of free goodies to people who chose not to work. Also, lets make abortion legal.

Hancock: I will fight this revolution as long as we have zero casualties. The Chimp Washington was AWOL during the French and Indian war.

Washington: After the first casualty we need to remind the people everyday about the death count so we can bring the trrops home. We need to raise taxes, did someone else say that already!

Franklin: Tax, Tax, Tax....Everything should be free. Just tax the Rich.

Liberal thinking :

1. OMG, that statue in the courthouse kind of resembles Jesus, remove it from our sight! By the way, how are we coming on those airport Muslim foot baths?

2. The Patriot Act violates humanity and freedom, but I'd sure like the government to have total control over my body, health, and medical records with that neat sounding FREE universal health plan!

3. Impeach Bush! He's planning another attack to stay in office after '08! We KNOW the first one was an inside job!

4. I support the troops but not the war. It's OUR fault Muslims hate us, we should be nicer and try to talk to them and stuff.

5. Clinton was the best president in history.

That the war on terror is just a bumper sticker slogan.
That one just floored me.

But, in a general sense, their economic philosophy is much more dangerous.
The notion that making accomplished people poor will some how make the poor better off is just the silliest thing I have ever heard and they seem to have universally accepted that as their mantra. I'm holding out hope that they really don't mean that and they are just postulating to get votes. The Republicans are not pure in that regard either.
But, if they really think this will improve our nation, they have gone from an oddity to a serious threat to our way of life.

Take a stroll over to WWW.CPUSA.COM and you will see some of the same liberal language on the Communist party's web site. That says it all for me.

The problem is that "liberals" never say anything outrageous, they pussyfoot around with their tails between their legs. Diebold did steal the election, and 9/11 was definitely an inside job, but who has the guts to admit the emperer wears no clothes? The only thing worse than a democrat is a republican.

I am typically identified as liberal. Ive never said the election was stolen.

Bush's tax cuts dont help me, because his economic policy allowed my job to be sent to India and I now make about 1/4 what I used to, so I dont pretty much dont pay taxes anymore. Id rather pay a bit in taxes and take home enough to live on though.

As for the the Founding Fathers being liberal. Can you really call someone a conservative if they supported a violent overthrow of the established gov't instead of going through the normal process to get what they wanted? Canada was eventually given their own Parliament under the power of the Crown-exactly what we were asking for until the Revolution. They wrote a constitution that allows for easy change for a reason.

You have no understanding of American history. The loyalists were in favor of control by a king with no liberty to speak out. The Founding fathers wanted freedom to dissent, to speak without censorship, and to have their rights protected.

But lets start with Ben Franklin, the true father of our country. This ultimate Enlightenment genius was the western world's most famous citizen. The man who defined electricity was America's leading writer, publisher, diplomat and humorist.

Ben Franklin was also the ultimate liberal. He signed the first abolitionist petition to Congress. Supremely tolerant, he loved beautiful women, fine food, and the French. He believed in freedom, diversity, the Enlightenment, and progress.

Then there's Tom Jefferson: brilliant, learned, master architect, ultimate phrase turner, Lockean liberal. Nobody stoked the leftist rhetoric of revolution and democracy, equality and progress better than Jefferson.

James Madison, spouting off about human liberties, combing the state constitutions to draft that ultimate liberal screed, the Bill of Rights. If there's one document the conservatives hate most of all, it's Jamie Madison's Ten Commandments of civil rights and liberty.

Even George Washington, the ultimate war hero, stood his ground on a free America. When offered the dictatorship, he refused, saying America should remain a republic. Can you imagine George Bush, who never saw battle, doing the same?

To top it off, the master of Mount Vernon took enormous pains to make sure his slaves were freed and well cared for upon his death. What a bleeding heart!

As for Hamilton, like Bill Clinton, he was also forced to admit to an extra-marital affair. And---can you believe it---he was an abolitionist! He opposed slavery!

Not a conservative among them.

Maybe you should read some of Thomas Paine's letters.
He didn't even believe in land ownership. He believed that a person should only be allowed to use land, if they paid a tax to the community for its use, and for preventing other people from enjoying it.

the majority of the founding fathers where very liberal for their time, and very progressive to say the least. To compare them to political over-generalizations, that your type wields as a weapon today, is pure fallacy bordering on stupidity.

Both sides say dumb things. It's in a person's best interest to choose neither side rather choose the best person for the job.
