We have replaced the battery, the alternator, the serpentine belt and we have cleaned every end of the ground wire, but we are still loosing voltage...funny about the rodeo, it manifests itself (low voltage) by making the transmission slam from 2nd to 3rd gear...feels like a new driver learning to drive stick shift. This mystery is frustrating and expensive, any imput would be greatly appreciated. Oh...btw...we have a leak in the intake manifold gasket too...if that matters (terribly rough idle) some stalling. Car acts fine for two days...then starts transmission disco again. HEEELLLLLLPPPP!!!

Did you check voltage at battery with car running should be between 13.5 to 14.5 . If any power leads coming from the battery or alternator have corrosion, it will lessin voltage. the corrosion might be internal in the wires so you can`t see it and you will have to do a resistance check on it to find it. also if you alternator field voltage input is incorrect the output will be incorrect

I would suggest taking it to an auto electric repair shop. You could have a wire with the insulation knicked and is leaking to ground, or a terminal could have grease or dirt, or even moisture on it, and again, it is taking the voltage to ground.

Good luck with this one, intermittent problems are always the hardest to find.

Could be the voltage regulator. The hard shifting could be this sensor on the transmission case (senses when to shift)
