The only problem my car has been having is trouble starting up when cool. Could this be the reason the sensor light is on? and how could i fix this sensor light?

Depending on your car, the sensor light can mean that it is time to service or replace a sensor. Early to mid '80s cars had these lights and usually referred to replacing the oxygen sensor, they were new at the time, and old ones were sent back to determine their useful service life. If your O2 sensor is old it may be causing a problem when restarting your vehicle. Vehicles are quite complex, it takes a pro to sort out the problem spot.

Sensor light? you mean check engine light? if so it,s probably the O2 sensor or the ilde air control valve or the fuel pressure switch.

Take the car into a parts place like autozone and have them read the error code stored in the car's computer. You will be able to buy the defective part and replace it. That should clear the fault. good luck.
