Absolutely not. I think people like the Rev. Al Sharpton and the Rev Jesse Jackson should keep their noses out of politics.

Religion always has a place in politics just look back at some of Washington's writings. And we don't want a theocracy we just want to make sure the far left does not take away our rights to teach our children and also does not abandon our true allies.

No, Americans do not want to live in a theocracy. Religious leaders play *A* role in politics -- not the only people who do -- because they have as much a right to play *A* role as anyone else does. Allowing religious leaders -- like Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. -- to have AS MUCH access to political power fulfills the relationship between church and state that our Founding Fathers envisioned. Thomas Jefferson said that religious leaders have AS MUCH a right to hold political office as do others who are not religious -- NO MORE AND NO LESS. And right-wing Christians have AS MUCH a right to influence the political process as do left-wing Christians -- LIKE REV. MLK, Jr.! Like former Congressman Robert Drinan, Dem. of Massachusetts, who was a Catholic Priest!
I wish ArgleBargle would tell the left-wing Christian preachers to stay out of politics. But I am sure that ArgleBargle would never talk that way.

Shall we exclude those with whom we disagree from participating in politics?
I notice you sometimes quote George Orwell.
Should it be that "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" ?
In my opinion everyone, with their myriad beliefs, should be included in Politics.

So you want to keep religious people OUT of politics??
So much for the diversity the left embraces!!!
We have no State Religion.
People are free to choose to worship whoever, or whatever they like.

It's only the Conservative right you want to silence isn't it? Silencing opposing voices is kind of the liberal way isn't it?
