We've been together for like a year and 3 months. I can say that I really love him but now im not quite too sure anymore. The past few days as I think of breaking up with him, I feel so sad and depressed. And now that I've made a decision and that's to break up with him, I feel so good and happy inside. It seems that I'm not as bothered as I was before.

It's perfectly normal. Sometimes it's good to feel happy and relieved to be out of a relationship. It feels good when you make good decisions like that.

That is good to be happy. I was very happy when I got out of a very bad relationship a few years ago. It was such a relief to not have to deal with that anymore Many people are sad after a break up, and that is normal because you are no longer a part of that relationship. But if you can be happy about a break up-- that is great!

Yes you are justified in being happy especially if the relationship is not going any where. Why stay with someone and be miserable when you can be happy and free. Yes it may hurt him, and you can still be friends if that is something that the t wo of you want, but I applaud you. Too many times we tend to stay in a relationship because we don't want to hurt the other persons feelings and you are miserable the whole time. Good for you (^5)

It's normal. I went through a long drawn out breakup that should have ended 4 months before it actually did. I was miserable. When we actually broke up and I moved out I cried my eyes out for a week until I finally realized the worst was over...and the best was yet to come. I was no longer tied down in a relationship neither of us had wanted to be in any longer. I was free :)

Why not?... If you're happy after the break up, seems like it'd be an obvious sign that the relationship was not what you needed.

If you're unhappy with things in the relationship, or the way things are going. It's perfectly normal to want out, and feel good about it.
