lol I did that yesterday. I was even exceeding the speed limit and they were on my tail. I slowed up about 15 mph. They backed off some.--not a lot. Yes, I do it on occasion--if possible.

I think that anyone who tailgates has a potential anger and is just looking for someone to challenge h/her so that they can erupt into rage! The only time I ever tapped the brake lights was one time when I was driving late at night and the car behind me made contact and started PUSHING me at 60mph! That caused him to back off for a minute or so, but then started pushing again. I tried swerving to shake him off, but that was really dangerous as I was in a small car. Finally, I guess the creep got tired of that game and I thought that he was passing me. But instead he just stayed even with me while driving in the left-hand lane. He play "chicken" with me, finally dodging back behind me when there was an on-coming car! I drove on as if "unmoved", but was terrified. I guess that wasn't much fun for him as he finally sped away and luckily never appeared again!---Here in Texas, it's legal to carry a gun in the car. I don't think it's very wise to TRY to antagonize drivers unless you're itching for a fight!!!

It depends.
If I'm in the fast lane, I'll move over. I hate slow cars in the fast lane too.
But if I'm not in the fast lane, and some ****** just wants to tailgate, I'll slow down, I'll brake check, I'll throw a finger. Screw 'em! I'm not messing with them, don't mess with me!

Infact I do. I also turn on the 2400 watts running through my trunk to piss them off more.
I know, I have road rage. That's why I don't like to drive during the day, too many ignorant/impatient people on the road. I prefer driving at night and taking my chances with drunk drivers.

Definitely do! If they are in a hurry they should overtake and not be stupid. Tailgating is dangerous and its usually the innocent one who gets hurt. So they should either overtake or keep a safe distance!

Sometimes I do, but it's because I'm doing the speed limit, so they can pass me or back off! I wouldn't try hitting my brakes to see if they run into the back of me though!!! :-)

In my experience, a nice brake check will teach them to back off.
