When I woke up this morning, my right foot was aching so badly. It's like this throbbing pain between my big toe and the second toe. I wasn't wearing flip flops yesterday or anything that could have aggravated the area. When I looked at the bottom of my foot this morning (between the big toe and 2nd toe), the area was red, and I felt pain when I touched the area. Even with my foot elevated, and not touching the area, it still hurts. When I run my finger over the area, I can feel a slight hard bump that isn't raised enough to notice it unless you run your finger over it and apply a bit of pressure. What is this? I can hardly walk, because it hurts too badly.

Your foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 120 muscles, ligaments and nerves. Even though you provided very good, very detailed information, foot problems are difficult to diagnose.

Here is a chart of foot problems (where it hurts and why) that may give you a clue. http://www.healthcentral.com/chronic-pain/foot-pain-000061_1-145.html

Another poster mentioned gout. Read about gout at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gout/DS00090.

You may have to see the doctor for this one! Very cold compresses may relieve some of the inflammation and pain until then.

I have no idea, the only thing I can think of is you might have done some kind of tissue damage, maybe you stumbled and rolled your foot or something you didn't even realize you did! I would advise icing it, staying off it (since you can't walk anyway) and if it still hurts as much tomorrow, see the doc.

Something probably bit you. Many times a puncture spot from the bite of an insect can be hard to notice but that is what it sounds like. Get further assistance if it gets worse.

Sounds like a spider bite. You may need to get to the doctor!

That kind of pain from a spider bite means that you may have been bitten by a poisonous spider. They can bite you in your sleep. Go to the doctor today please!

Good luck!
