Does wearing a bra to bed stunt your growth?

Breasts are normal body parts and need to have at least some portion of time unconstricted and free to bend and stretch. Nighttime is the body's chance to heal and recuperate from the stresses of the day. It's very important for the breasts to be loose as well, to be able to get a 'normal' blood flow into them. There is little chance of them stretching and becoming misshapen at night - they are being supported by the bed in most sleeping positions.

You should not wear one to bed, but in answer to your question, there is no scientific evidence that it will stunt your breast growth if you do wear one to bed, but it could mess up your circulation.

I can't stand bras during my awake hours never mind sleeping in it. I do wear one now but for years I didn't. I feel too restricted with clothes on when I sleep anyway. I am not sure about the risk of breast cancer hmmm I will have to look that one up. If you start by wearing maybe a tee shirt to bed then eventually you wont feel funny without the bra if you are trying to get to that point.

I agree with most of what Jenifer360 said. It is okay to wear a bra to bed most of the time. Use a sports bra that is 1 or 2 sizes larger than you normally wear, or a sleep/leasure bra. Also try to sleep braless 1 or 2 nights a week.

If it is to uncomfortable to sleep braless, try using a snug fitting tank top once or twice a week instead of a bra.

No, it doesn't stunt your growth.

Nobody wears a bra to bed. There is no reason to. It's poor hygiene. I never do and my 82 year old mother doesn't either.

No. I've always worn a bra to bed and I'm a 'DD'
I recommend doing it because it helps prevent sagging and ugly stretch marks.

no, it does not. if anything, wearing a sports bra helps support your developing breasts.

even when you are laying down, gravity is pulling on your breasts.
