Does anyone else think this movie is an insult and disgrace for transformers?
It sucks so bad that I´d puke if I ever see anything to do with it again
Whoever thinks that this movie is better than the original 1986, or hasn´t seen the original, or is a complete airhead.
I mean, ok, take away all the facts that would dissapoint a transformer fan, like how they messed up the characters (like calling the tank Devastator?!) , or taking u'r childhood icon universe, and turning it into an armageddon movie or independence day,
Ok take all that, and put it aside, cuz I know those things have to be changed to be make the movie marketable etc...
But transformers was a Star Wars like storyline (cartoon or movie), where besides the robots and action, there was always an amazing adventure story behind it
All this new movie had to offer was 2 hours of car crashing, gun firing TRASH! man..why dont u just go watch a fireworks display on the 4th of july??? Society has gone retarded!

I do agree with you that the new movie is worse than the original, but I wouldn't say it was that bad. It had cool animation, and a pretty nice backstory, even though it did contradict a little. I think Michael Bay did a very good job of recreating such a well respected series. The other movie was wonderful though. I also enjoyed how he made it current, with the Iraq war and Bush etc. It was stupid how they scan something and can transform into it, and the story could've been a little more true to the series. But I thought it was pretty good.

Hey man, just look in the credits: It says Directed by Michael Bay. You know that in a Michael Bay movie there are going car crashes, guns firing, explosions: that's Michael Bay.
Transformers was awesome.

What's really sad is somebody spent a lot of time writing up an opinion like this over some cartoon/toy line. And I for one loved Transformers and have seen it multiple times.

Transformers was a good movie. They took a child's cartoon and made an action movie.
The movie was a box office money machine.....wasn't trash at all, unless you call cold hard cash garbage.

to be honest i thought the movie was goin to be terrible cause i didnt like transformers growing up, but it proved me wrong and was really good, so what if the storyline is similar to star wars, its just a movie, people who devour every single part of a movie and critize it dont take teh time to enjoy the movie for what it really is
