fun way to Dublin from London?

arive at Heathrow in the morning hours,,, and just like to take my time to get to Dublin.THIS will be in september

Depend on your idea of fun.

You can take the bus or train to the ferry and 'sail' across, costly and time consuming.
You can also take a plane and spend the day in Dublin, I think that is more fun.

It comes to about 8 hours on the fastest connection, the price for the train in England is 15.50 pound, but you will need to add the ferry and the bus (or train) in Ireland too.
