PKRS is a rare and excellent thing. Getting Pokerus is even rarer than finding a discolored shining Pokemon. The Pokerus gives your pokemon the same effect as the macho brace and doubles the effort points you gain while EV training.

It is a good thing, only lasts for a short time, and will not damage the game. The pokemon has been infected with pokerus, a rare virus, that will cause it to grow quickly.
