I went to see my mom after back surgery, and some of my family was there. Well, my husband told my family he has two doctors one that is good at what he does, and one that just knows how to give the drugs. I could of killed him why do men always come off with stupid stuff like that?

You sound kind of up tight ... I like a man who jokes around and there was nothing terrible about that. I'm pretty sure the problem lies with you, dear. You care too much about what people might think and the only thing they probably think is that you need to lighten up.
If people act proper around you, it isn't because that is natural, it is because they know you have an OCD and would be in a snit if they didn't.
You'll give yourself an ulcer!

ha ha ha, I would have back slapped him too. I think he was probably just nervous and wanted to release some of that by making some kind of dumb remark that might make people laugh....and possibly embarass you!!! Don't get too upset, but do tell him not to be such a dork because he needs to set a better impression with the fam!!

My guess is he was just nervous, my fiance says really stupid stufff in front of my dad...He starts out with a good story and totally embarasses himself and me... he's just trying to impress my dad but he tries way too hard... Give him a break, at least he's trying to make conversation with your family.

Perhaps it was a joke. Trying to lighten up the room with sarcastic humor.
Thats what I would do in that situation (or any situation). Try to make everyone laugh, keep everyone's spirits high.

Lousy people made lousy thing, and good people buy good thing ..... you know what I mean?
Ofcourse I'll be embarrased - in front of my mum, for making a lousy decision that I have to live throughout my life ..... many a times, stupid people remains stupid - but, we have to make the right choice ~ and, it's not their mistake to remain stupid - but, it's rather our fault to make that fatal decision......

Why do you think its stupid. There are doctors out there that just stay "Take some of this" and hand out pills. Why are you making this an issue? Get over it.

It sounds like you are judging him for being himself. Just because you thought it was stupid to say, he obviously didn't or he wouldn't have said it.

That wouldn't bother me. Unless he's a drug addict, your family is going to know what he meant and that he was just joking.
