you can wear a wetsuit with your period but you cannot weear a pad if you are going to be in the water. when you go in the water you have to wear a tampon. if you wore a pad, it would get full of water and your period would be everywhere. i would recommend tampax pearl. definetly not platex sport

if you are going in the ocean i would highly recoment not going. i'm not sure if sharks can smell the blood from your period or not.. but is it rly worth it to find out!?
i'd just put the pad (with wings) in my bathing suit, and put the wetsuit on top.
or.. wear a tampon...
if you wear a pad it will sort of blow up (not like explode, but like absorb the water), so make sure u have a new one handy for right when u come out of the water.
(and the answer above me.... ---> the pad won't come out if you are wearing both a bathing suit bottom and a wetsuit. it may shift in its place, which is why you should wear a tampon if possible, but it will not be floating around next to you.)

Think about it. A PAD, that SOAKS UP blood, in the WATER. Not gonna work cuz it'll soak up the water before it even gets a wiff of your menstrual flow.
You must wear either a tampon or a diva/moon cup or no water sports.
And your flow does NOT stop nor does it SLOW down in the water, it only looks like it does. Its that the water disperses the blood before you see it.
And even if you wear a wetsuit, you need to wear a tampon or diva/moon cup.

If you can use tampons, then I would suggest that. I'm not really sure how well a pad would work with the wetsuit.

I wouldn't reccommend putting a pad in your wetsuit. Wear a tampon. If your worried about it soaking through, get a high absorbancy one and change it every few hours.

If you are wearing a wetsuit, then you can wear underwear and a pad underneath and it will all stay dry, won't it? So there's no problem.
If you were in a swimsuit, then a pad would be no good as of course it would get soaked in water immediately.

No never use a pad, it will come out when you´re on water. Use a tampon, thet will help you, I used to swim everyday, and I didi that and never had a problem with it. When you get into water flow gets less, I don´t know why, but it is true I have proved it myself, in fact in some women, their period stops.
Good Luck!!

Use should use a tampon. Generally pads DO NOT work in water because they absorb water the minute you jump in an then can't absorb your blood. i don't know how they would work with a wet suit. I'd use a tampon to be safe.
