im trying to make a play its a spoof of a hole bunch of movies like harry potter ect. but where do I start?

You could take a classic fairytale as a starting point and replace the characters in the story with film characters then twist the plot depending on what you come up with (each character trying to move the story according to their normal plot lines or maybe you have one character who keeps suggesting that?) and add in additional characters from films wherever you feel like it. Before you know it you'll have a very different story than what you started out with :-)

The other suggestion is a great starting point too (starting with a list of the films you want to spoof). You could try both ways and see what works out better for you.

I always thought the beginning scene of Lord of the Rings would be funny spoofed.

The part of the "forging of the rings"...and you could move on from there.

You could start by learning how to use the English language--then go from there. "Hole"="whole", "its"="it's", "im"="I'm", "ect"="etc" (from the Latin, et cetera). Proper use of punctuation and capitalization would also be advised. Good luck.
