I don't know about H&R block, but you can get part of credit in advance in your paychecks. I've copied and pasted here a sentence that says this information, and have attached a link to the irs information about it.

The advance EITC allows those taxpayers who expect to qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and have at least one qualifying child to receive part of the credit in each paycheck during the year the taxpayer qualifies for the credit.

Don't even think of trying to do this through H&R Block even if you could - and you probably can't, this early in the year.

But you can very possibly get some of it in your paycheck through your employer - it's called the Advanced Earned Income Credit. For more info, see http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=172170,00.html

1) You can fill out a W5 and have a little of it in each paycheck.

2) The loan programs offered by the tax prep. places (which are generally a bad deal) will probably begin in November. No one, that I now of, does them now.

You can get advanced EIC payments from your employer through your paychecks.
