I only saw it once between 4-8 years ago and I saw it on tv so it must have been made in the 90's. It had a handsome actor (possibly Josh Hartnett possibly not) and an actress as the lead characters. Basically I remember that they fell in love and I remember a scene where he was doing something sexual to her while they were riding a roller coaster. Then things started to change for the worse and he started getting really jealous and abusive and her dad noticed it. The dad confronted him and told him to stay away from her. So he (the main actor) started punching himself to give himself bruises to make it look like the dad beat him up so the girl felt bad for him and started to not trust her dad. That's basically all I remember and I actually don't think it was Josh Hartnett but someone who sort of look like him. Any help would be great...hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about.

The only movie I can think of that had a couple doing something sexual on a roller coaster is with Mark Walberg. The movie is named Fear. Mark Walberg's character dates Reese Witherspoon and the father doesn't like Mark. Tell him to stay away and Mark beats his self up to make it look like the dad did it to him. Mark's character was very violent. The movie was out in 1996. Maybe this is the movie you are thinking about.

Fear. Mark Wahlberg as the main character and that Grissom dude from CSI :Las Vegas as the dad. Dont remember the chick. Could be Reese Witherspoon
