Hell no, it doesn't bother me at all I know we all make mistakes in writing or typing on here, its not that big of deal and the spelling nazis need to give it a break. As long as I cant guess what the person meant to say I am ok with it, even if I can't I am not going to lose sleep over it. Its not that big a deal.

I'd say that the one I'm worst about is number 2. You see, that tends to be the way I talk (yes, it does sound very pretentious. Oh well). I've always found it easiest to write the way I talk. Then I'll look back at what I've written and realize that the paragraph I just wrote is actually one long sentence. It's not exactly a run-on because it's well structured grammatically, but there's a lot of unnecessary crap tagged onto the front and back of the real sentence.

It did at first, but now that I see how many mistakes I've made I am more forgiving. Relax Guy spelled recieves wrong... It's
receives, I before e except after c, remember...
My deal is that grammar is all I've got because I'm horrible at math........ I can draw too so, I guess I lied about the all I've got thing.. Oh well, I love Yahoo Answers anyway..... No matter who spells what wrong!!!

Yes because its a slippery slope situation. Its not just on Yahoo Answers, its everywhere in society these days. You should see some of the job applications my company recieves. Its insulting that kids these days are more focused on materialist nonsense like their clothes and hair rather than their personal character when our country is spending so much on education. You might not see it directly. But when you are trying to sell a product and the person you are speaking too is barely literate and using slang words to describe a product, it really kills my productivity because I have to spend an extra 10 mins trying to understand them because they were too lazy to pay attention in English class.

The errors dont bother me on YA. Most people can understand what people are trying to get at even with a few errors.
I care less about accidental errors than lazy shortcuts.

i dont think it should matter as long as the person is not originally an anglophone. just like me. i mean why would u have a problem if i mispell something, whats the point anyways? u got the meaning, if u still have issues ur just weird!

Yes, because spelling and grammar should be common knowledge--unfortunately, too many people just don't care about being educated these days.
