and mcdonalds had a commercial out that said you could feed a famiy of four for $5 and get back change
gas was about the same price as a pack of cigarettes 45 cents
i could cruise all nite and get drunk on $5
or as my late fatherused to say " i must be getting stronger as i get older cause used to i couldnt carry $5 of grocieries by myself, now i can carry $50 in one arm
