diameter is 3/16, length you will just have to measure from fitting to fitting. don't be surprised if the fittings that come on the brake lines are different. manufacturers love to screw you like that. if they are you will have to remove the fitting(s) from the old line and put them on the new line and re-flare (double flare only).

I have no idea what a break line is. Would that be a line designed to break?

break (v.) To cause to separate into pieces suddenly or violently; smash.
break (v.) To become separated into pieces or fragments.
break (n.) The act or an occurrence of breaking.

Now, if instead you mean "brake" line, you first need to find out why they failed. This is not a common thing for a line to suddenly fail, especially if it was multiple lines as you seem to indicate in your question.

In any case, I wouldn't recommend this as a do-it-yourself project. I'd suggest towing the car to a competent mechanic to both replace the lines that failed, and more importantly to find and fix whatever caused the failure in the first place. It would be dangerous to have a car where the brakes might fail at random due to a defect. (And keep in mind it might not be worth it to fix an almost 20 year old vehicle.)

Good luck with it.

Purchase a set of brake line wrenches. Remove the defective line. Try not to take any of the bends out of the old line, as you must use it to form the new line. Take it to your local parts store. They should have various lengths of flared brake line.

The brake system must have the air purged from the system prior to driving.
