They think they're there for decoration or just plain rude and inconsiderate.

My theory is this.... cars no longer come with turn signals as standard equipment.
And, I'm working on an alternative theory that includes a series of black holes that suck up the light emitted from the blinkers on the cars....
I'll entertain any other theories, as well.

In some cases, they're just low on blinker fluid and are saving them for an IMPORTANT situation.
When arround these people watch out, as their cars may also suffer from tire sweat... Which may or may not cause poor handling.

because the blinkers are an optional features in cars now! you can buy a car without blinkers....

I hear ya. Makes me want to yell really bad words, but I have kids in the car all the time so I say nothing, do nothing. Mentally I'm poking pins in a voodoo doll that looks just like the bad driver.

Well the people where I am think that the blinker means auto matic right-of-way.

they may be worried about using up all of their turn signal fluid...it is getting expensive with the rising costs of fuel.... also maybe it is because nobody seems to have any common decency on the roads anymore...just simply leaving a safe following distance between yourself and the vehicles around you would pretty much cause turn signals to not be an issue..I drive 85 mph and this keeps a good safe following distance between me and most drivers,and since they see me coming a mile a way,most drivers pretty much know in advance that I intend to change lanes by the time my vehicle gets up to where there's is,but I change lanes before I am 4 car lengths from them unless it is some homicidal jerk that uses his vehicle as a weapon to try to "enforce" the speed limit by attempted murder/suicide...those are the real aggressive drivers...the ones that slam on their brakes in front of people trying to cause collisions...not the people trying to maintain safe following distances thereby eradicating most of the causes of collisions.....i always know the odds that someone ids going to turn by their driving habits.....I believe most of you do too...

People that don't use their blinkers are the worst! what is so freaking hard about it??!??!?! lazy people, they think they own the road!

In NH...it's a $22 dollar fine for the first offense, and goes up from there until license suspension....we take THAT seriously..unlike our no seatbelt, helmet, use of cellphone laws..

Boy! I wish I knew the answer. If my turn signal doesn't work, I revert back to hand signals. *are they even acceptable now days?* Maybe they are saving them for when they get rear-ended--wouldn't want burned out bulbs for when you need to use your emergency flashers.
