Why does Europe think its so much better and educated when they are really racist?

I was watcing an episode of Real Sports on HBO and they were showing how stadiums full of fans would chant racist things to black players. and also anytime a black player would touch the ball they would start hooting like monkeys, implying black people are like monkeys?

racists r every where in this world including african countries themselves. its just that one country could b a little over-board compared to the others.
as far as education is concerned, it is true that in the early years, European countries were higher in standard of education compared to America and most of the top scientists were non americans. thats why America opened doors to professional foreigners to settle in america.
but now in the present generation education has been given a lot of priority in America and it has moved many levels higher than those in the European countries

Where was that? In what game? Which city? There are racists everywhere, you can not generalize. However yes, its a proven fact that the average European has more culture and class than the average American. Heck, the 80% of Americans does not even own a passport, how can one be open minded and educated when has never actually traveled to another country?
