While I am opposed to the war, you need to learn the difference between a group that targets innocent civilians and an action against an enemy that leads to civilian deaths. We didn't go into Iraq for the purpose of killing Iraqi citizens (True, I still don't know why we did go in, but it wasn't for that). And many Americans have been deservedly outraged at the revelations of some of the actions of our troops. It is simply impossible to compare us to Al-Quaeda, which is pure evil.

BTW, did the noble members of Al-Quaeda see the faces of those they killed in the World Trade Center?

Nick Berg is a family friend. SO please don't tell me that watching him being beheaded by those barbaric freaks is comparable to anything else. If we stopped WW11 for so called collateral damage, we would all be speaking German or be lamp shades.
I assume you are young because of your total misunderstanding of War. Granted, The Gulf War gave all the young people the idea that war could be won in several days with few deaths. Well, that is far from what War is. I hate war. Too many young people die, on both sides.
America is not the Evil you suggest. In a perfect world, peace would rule, but nothing is perfect especially when dealing with a group of people who want to kill ALL of us. Thes are savages, who live in the 14th century, and want us to live there, too, or kill us if we fight. I personally do not want to live in a place where women are stoned for adultry; hands are cut off for stealing, and people are killed by horrific means, if they disagree with the powers that be.
America is far from perfect, but it is still the best place on earth to live. If you doubt that, go to any other country and ask the question you asked. I think you'll find what the results will be, and then you might understand what Nick felt.
By the way, Nick was a great young man who was liked by everyone. His family had to hear their son scream while those barbarians slowly slit his throat. Can you imagine what your family would feel like if they had to watch you go through something like that? I wonder if they would see who the EVIL really is?

so, let's see: more Sunni and Shiites have killed each other than all the civilians accidentally killed by coalition forces... so that makes the US the bad guys, huh?

Sorry are you implying that you are happy that AlQaeda is killing Americans in Iraq? If so, you are very sick and heartless! I do hope that one day, one of your relatives doesn't get killed by these "lesser evil" terrorists! Incidentaly, where do you live? I hope its not the US, if so I suggest you get your @rse out of there!!
