Air conditioning.
It's not that hot where I live, or I'm well adjusted to the temperature most of the time. (Exceptionally, when it's too hot, being indoors is enough to feel comfortable...)
But if I went to the Middle East in Summer on a vacation, I would probably rather give up television... Temperatures over 40ªC or 45º degrees seem unberable to me... and what use would a television be, if I couldn't understand a word?...

Air conditioning. A lack of a television makes many other household items (video games, DVD's, VHS's, home entertainment systems) obsolete. Besides, most of us have pools, fans, and could take a cold shower if we're feeling sticky.

Air conditioning but I live in NY, I suppose my decision would be harder if I lived in say Florida or Texas, some place like that, huh!?

I lived MOST of my life without it! The only reason I have the A/C in my room NOW is because I was pregnant summer of 2005!!! 80+ degree weather plus pregancy don't mix!

TV!!! In a heartbeat! I hate not having the option to be cool...besides, I prefer reading to TV anyway.
