I'm just wondering what peoples views are on this?
Is it ok for gay couples to kiss in public?
Is it not ok?
Is it not ok but ok for straight couples?
Is it not ok for neither gay nor straight couples?

IS IT OK FOR GAY COUPLES TO KISS IN PUBLIC IF THERE ARE CHILDREN AROUND? Is it healthy for children to be aware of this, or is there too young an age to explain homosexuality?

NOT OK ,There are children around .If you want to upset people,that is a real good way to do that.
NOT EVERYONE Accepts your way of life .
Politics can`t legislate how people feel about perversion .
You may feel vindicated and accepted ,but they only protect you for your VOTES........................
Children should see Normal love ,( kissing ) in pulic by heterosexuals ONLY.

If I saw a gay couple kissing in public, I would go up to them and tell them that I think they are an adorable couple and they need to keep being themselves no matter what homophobic assholes say. Like so what if it's against YOUR religion. If it isn't against theirs then back out. Stop being an asshole. If you don't like it, don't look. You have no right to tell someone they aren't allowed to love just because the person they love is the same gender, or different race, or religion, or anything like that.

Yes, it is ok for us to kiss in public even when there are children around. After all, I'm sure hetero couples do it all the time.

I'm sure we have all been to those places where all you see is a couple macken on each other, bars, parks beaches etc etc. Personally, I think it is a double standard. Straight people mack wherever they damn well please but it seems to still be socially taboo if a gay couple does it. My partner and I don't even practice PDA, no hand holding, no kissing, no touching. It's discouraging when we walk together and see straight people macken away in public. Not only that, It's disgusting. If you want to make out and can't wait to get home, you need some serious lessons in self control. A smooch here and there is fine, but I'm talking full on tongue wrestling. I don't think it's okay for ANYONE to make out in public. Kissing? Yep! Everyone has only one inalienable right...that is to exist. If you want to kiss your loved one in public..go for it! If someone doesn't like it, then they don't have to watch.

Edited to add: The whole thing about 'explaining to kids' is such rubbish. If adults didn't carry on there'd be nothing to 'explain'.
Kids accept what they see as the reality, if they see a couple kissing, gay or straight they don't even think anything other than "a couple kissing'. That's it because that's all they know!!!!
It's only when adults start saying 'Oh don't look' etc that kids begin to think something is wrong with what they are seeing.
People 'protecting' their children in this way is how discrimination starts!

It's OK for everyone, IMO. The world needs more love and more displays of love and affection :-)
Beyond kissing into groping is getting a bit far for my personal tastes, but people can basically do what they want as far as I'm concerned (as long as everyone's willing, etc).
Gender isn't an issue.

In my opinion I is ok for Gay couples to kiss in public. It is ok for straight couples to kiss in public. But they should not be all over each other neither type. If they are just kissing it is fine.

I am for any couple kissing in public, gay or straight. I kiss my boyfriend in public. If you dont like it then dont look.

Sure, there is a line that can be crossed. I don't want to see anyone groping and having public sex.... but kissing, and cuddling and hand-holding are such sweet, wonderful, affectionate things, how can that be wrong for anyone?

I don't think anything is wrong with kissing. Now if you are taking your kissing to another level or you are kissing for like 20 minutes...maybe you need a room...

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with this, I do not like to see it but I don't like to see straight couples kissing either, I think it is a personal private thing so if there is a couple kissing, regardless of sex, I just don't look at them.
