Some of it is just thoughtlessness. Some may feel that the loved one "won't mind" because he/she loves you. Some of it is just that we seem to put our best foot forward for strangers and not for our loved ones. Many people feel that if our loved one truly loves us that he or she will not mind these silly (usually thoughtless) things.
If you want to talk about the crueler people, they are usually passive-aggressive. Instead of stating the problem TO the loved, they do little annoying, seemingly silly things to get back at the loved one. I was married to someone who was passive-aggressive. He never told me: "I don't like this," or "That is a problem;" he just did small things that would drive me crazy or cause me more work.
Some of it is perception too. I think highly of my loved ones. If any one of them do something stupid, silly, reckless (whatever word you want to use) I think "He knows better than that. Why did he do that?" Whereas if someone I only know casually does something like that I may be tempted to think that he didn't know any better or just made an understandable mistake.

Logically, the silly things you do may not affect those that have no association with you, it'll only affect your loved ones.
And why, because they're silly!

People tend to think more about themselves and sometimes they don't realise that it hurt loved ones when they're having fun.

Self-centeredness; people that value privileges more then principle soon lose both.
