655,000 Iraqi civilians might beg to differ with you, Brian, if they were still alive.

Brian, I think they would still be alive if Bush hadn't lied about WMD.

Daniel L - throwing around words like "terrorist" and "America hater" instead of answering the question? It's no wonder the whole world thinks neoconservatives are so unable to face reality that they threaten world peace.

It's ridiculous. The US has had the power to dominate the world for decades and though US influence has spread during that time they have not been a threat to anyone except, possible, oppressive regimes.

Again read: "oppressive regimes" and you don't seriously think the US killed all those civilians, do you? Typical.

Hey left wing nut, before you sypatize with the terrorists look what they have done to your own first,

I am former Military, who has fought in Afgan and Iraq, and telling the enemy when your leaving is like a Quaterback under center telling the defense what play the offense is running. I know you left wing nut cowards want a surrender, but just ponder on these thoughts. I have servered and have friends in Iraq right now, fighting hard and believe what they are doing is the right thing. Believe I want my friends home but just ponder the thoughts below.

. Does Osama and the Boys want us out of Iraq so they can have a safe Haven for operations? Yes, If we are defeated does that impower Osama and there Radical cause? Yes. If we are defeated will they continue to attack U.S. Interest's worldwide probably more so. How can I say that, Heck, I am former Military what do I know right? but I am sure that Osama and the boys Attepted to blow up the world Center in 93, I do know They Killed 19 Airman and wounded 300 Airman in 96 at Khobar Towers, I do know, That Osama and the Boys Blew up 2 U.S. Embassy's in Africa in 98, I do know that Osama and the boys Blow a Hole in the U.S..S Cole in 2000. I do know that 3,000 Americans were killed by Osama and the Boys on 9-11, and stop your stupid Left wing nut 9-11 conspricy Theories to, respect our Country and lives lost that day . So If we leave and they win, and they gain strengh and more followers, there gonna come fast and hard against us, so live in your left wing nut world where everything is America's Fault, someday you may realize one morning were fighting these Terrorists for our WAY OF LIFE at least Bush is doing something about it!!!!!!! Heck CLINTON did nothing about it, expect LIE ABOUT HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH A GIRL IN WOULDN'T HAVE TOUCHED IN HIGH SCHOOL, and spent more time worrying about LYING ABOUT scandals like Whitewater THAN MAYBE he would have taken Bin Laden into custody in 98 when the Sudan was willing to hand him over. Also Iran, Iraq, Syria, the Fillipinnes to name a few have been state Sponsers of terrorism for decades, to include training Facilities, so we didn't bring Osama and the boys to the IRaq, they were already there waiting

The US has become the bully of the world. If you doubt it, just have a look around on this site alone! How many questions do you see asking which country should the US invade next? Which country is a threat to US? And, which country's government is not acceptable to the US?

There is a mentality that has developed amongst Americans which has begun to adhere to the idea that if another country is even remotely suspected of maybe, later on down the track, looking like threatening the US in anyway, that country should be "nuked" or at least invaded in order to change the government.

It appears that Americans attitudes towards their foreign policy is, "Shoot now and ask questions later".

So how else could the rest of the world see the US? It might be my country next.

Yes and No. Yes, socially we are what most dictatorships and royal democracy fears because we do speak our minds and maybe too frequently. We Americans, when we travel abroad for the first time or very infrequently, that we expect those in the other countries to abide by our traditions and cultures and language to accomodate us, they believe we are too errogant, which I do agree to some point. But when they come here we badger them into conforming to the "norm" which is to speak English and live and believe as we do even if they are just visiting. So, socially speaking, yes I do believe we are percieved as a threat to world peace.
My no answer would be similar to the gentleman above in to where we are the first to help 3rd world countries, fight for other countries freedoms when they ask us to but then spit on us when we do. They want us to feed them but then say we are errogant and have terrible manners according to respect of their cultures and beliefs. Yet, they keep asking and we still go back. I know our country believes in the phrase "turn the other cheek" when it comes to helping those in need even if they slap us in the face after taking what we give freely, but you can only be slapped so much until it gets really annoying and you end up having to get plastic surgery (taxes, inflation, trade embargos for Americans) to repair the damage our kindness has caused. So your danged if you do and danged if you don't.

Yes, at this point in time, we are.
Because this administration opts to invade and destroy countries that they disagree with rather than using diplomacy.

Plus how many conflicts and wars have we been involved in over the past 20 years?

Iran hasn't lifted a finger since 1988.

EDIT:

wrecker, I pray that God will forgive your words, and will remove this hateful venom from your being.

The Bush administration with all their collective wisdom and war bravado has turned the USA into the most hated nation on earth second only to Nazi Germany. The brute force idealogy of the Bushites only reinforces this in world opinion. I am not sure when diplomacy became a dirty word......maybe 2000?
People in the world see what attrocities Bush has done in Iraq. It has cost us the goodwill of the world that we had shortly after 9/11. I fully expect him to attack Iran preemptively. I think he wants ww3.

I never thought I would see the day when the US was the world's bully. It is hated around the world now. Not just the president, not just the government, not just our businesses, but the American people as well, for being stupid enough to elect, or allow the crooks on the supreme ct to appoint Mr. Bush. So when the US needs international help, and you know it will--it is only a matter of time--no one will help. Why would they?

When is the last time Iran started a war?

The last time Iran was involved in a war, the US was feeding the opposing side weapons.

I compare the American government to a senior citizen going senile and armed with a shotgun. Lost, confused, clueless and no one takes it seriously (N. Korea for example.) until they see it loading shells into the barrel.
